Remember, Jesus did NOTHING to stop the woman being accused on a later occasion.  It was how she was accused by hypocrites that was his problem.  It was the situation.  Her life meant nothing to him.  In the context of the times, we should assume that when he told her not to commit this sin again that he was worried only about her husband who in his mind owned her.
