Religion and is it a sin to pay tax?

Jesus and Paul commanded that taxes be paid to the Roman Empire. Jehovah’s Witnesses and Christadelphians pay theirs too despite believing that the secular dominions and governments are instruments of Satan for 1 John 5:19 says the whole world is lying in the power of Satan.

The mainstream Church says that world in the Bible is a metaphor for secularism or what tries to do without God – but there is no evidence for that interpretation so the sects are right to say Christianity originally opposed any association with politics.

Whoever is not for God is against him for he or she is not willing to work for God. The state that is secular - or at least predominately secular - is opposed to God. Thus it must be a sin to support it with taxes for that is supporting its opposition to God. The religionists, the Jehovah's Witnesses and the Christadelphians specifically, just pay their taxes for their own benefit. Funny how they soon forget about God for their own convenience!

Their excuse is that Jesus is coming soon to destroy the kingdoms of the world so it does not matter if they help Satan by paying taxes. That is like saying you can commit murder because Jesus will soon come to break down prison walls. It’s wacky.

They may say we have to respect the satanic governments for God permits them to rule but that is fanaticism. It is doing evil for your faith commands it. If you believe the political world is diabolical you have to do something about it. To do what you perceive as harm in the name of God is fanaticism.
