Were Cinemas in the UK right to ban a Lord's Prayer Advert?

I find it offensive that a prayer created by somebody like Jesus who knew of the violence commanded by God in the Old Testament and didn't apologise for it but instead hailed the Old Testament as God's infallible word is regarded as non-offensive. Revering a prayer from a dubious fanatic is an insult to those who were stoned to death because of those laws. Christians believe that Jesus before he became man gave those very laws to Moses.

Let us examine the prayer.

Our Father, which art in heaven,

GIVES GOD A MALE LABEL AND DISCRIMINATES AGAINST FEMININE PERCEPTIONS OF GOD AND INSULTS WOMEN. IT BLASPHEMES THE ISLAMIC DOCTRINE THAT GOD IS NOT FATHER.

Hallowed be thy Name.

IN CHRIST'S TIME BLASPHEMY LAWS WERE EVERYWHERE. AND HIS RELIGION STONED PEOPLE TO DEATH FOR IT. WHEN HE MADE THIS PRAYER HE COULD HAVE BEEN PRAYING FOR THESE LAWS TO BE ENFORCED. MANY HAVE PRAYED FOR SUCH LAWS TO BE PRESERVED AND KEPT WHEN THEY SAID THIS PRAYER. HE DID WANT HIS GOD'S VIOLENT LAWS RETAINED FOR HE TOLD THE JEWS OFF FOR EXEMPTING PEOPLE WHO INSULTED THEIR PARENTS FROM BEING STONED TO DEATH IF THEY PAID A FINE.

Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, As it is in heaven.

IN OTHER WORDS, IT IS MY OPINION THAT GOD IS RIGHT TO LET EVIL HAPPEN TO THE INNOCENT AND TO MAKE VIRUSES THAT KILL LITTLE BABIES. SO I ASK GOD TO DO WHAT HE WANTS. GIVEN HUMAN IMPERFECTION AND HOW VICIOUS HUMAN NATURE IS AND CAN BE, IS IT REALLY ACCEPTABLE THAT SOMEBODY WOULD CONDONE EVIL IN THE NAME OF FAITH? THIS IS NOT ABOUT GOD. IT IS ABOUT THE PERSON WHO PRAYS. IT IS BAD TO CONDONE BUT TO DO IT OVER A MERE OPINION OR TO USE THE EXCUSE THAT YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO YOUR OPINION IS NOT TAKING THE SUFFERING OF OTHERS SERIOUSLY.

Give us this day our daily bread.And forgive us our trespasses,As we forgive them that trespass against us.

WE ALL KNOW NOTORIOUS GRUDGE HOLDERS WHO PRAY THIS BIT AND DON'T MEAN IT. AND BESIDES, A GOD WHO REFUSES ANY FORGIVENESS TO A PERSON WHO DOES NOT FORGIVE OTHERS IS A BULLY. CHRISTIANS WATER DOWN THIS TEACHING TODAY. BUT IT IS CLEAR THAT JESUS SAID YOU MUST FORGIVE - NO IFS, NO BUTS OR DELAY. HE SAID THAT NOT FORGIVING SHOWED YOU FORGET YOU ARE A SINNER TOO. THE TEACHING MUST BE UNDERSTOOD IN THE CONTEXT THAT CHRIST REGARDED LITTLE SINS SUCH AS LUST (IT CAN BE A LITTLE SIN FOR IT IS HARMLESS MOST OF THE TIME) AS CATASTROPHICALLY BAD. CATHOLICISM SEES THEM AS SINS THAT DEMAND A SENTENCE TO THE EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT OF HELL.

And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, For ever and ever. Amen.
